Hi,
what happens to the information submitted to the directory? Do you claim it as proprietary content, or is it made freely available under a free content license or as public domain? In the latter case, this should be mentioned somewhere and it should be possible to download the contents of your project database.
Sadly, I didn't find any indications that your directory is free content. Please clarify this, as it is essential for me (and probably for many other people) to decide about whether or not to contribute to your directory.
Thanks
Christian

Hi Christian,
thanks a lot for your post, indeed this is a very important question.
We are planning to make all content freely available through a creative commons license. However we are still working on some details as for example the question whether or not to permit commercial use.
You can expect clarification and a cc-sticker on our page within the next few days.
Cheers
Kerstin

Hi Kerstin,
I'm happy to see that you went for Attribution-Share Alike, that's a very good choice!
I'd been working on a similar project, a collection of free design , that was to become part of the Appropedia. Now I think it makes more sense to support your project, since there is no need to duplicate effort :-)
Regards
Christian
PS. It would still be good to make some regularly updated dumps of your database available, to facilitate "distributed backups."
